- Select photographs where the background is not distracting or "busy".
- For portraits of people, zoom in and/or crop close to people's faces to get the best possible detail, especially for the small, 750-piece mosaic.

- Check your image file size. If it is larger than 1 Mb, you may want to save your photograph at a lower resolution to reduce the file size. High resolution JPG files are large in size, and take too long to upload (unless you have a broadband cable connection).
